Artist's Comments

Edit: Comments have been disabled, as I think just about everything that could be said about this piece has been said. If you have something new to add, feel free to note me. ;D

On October 4, 2002, a woman was battered to death by some acquaintances for being a biological male. December 31, 1995, a young man was raped and murdered by "friends" after it was discovered he had female genitalia.

November is Trans Awareness Month, and in celebration, I drew this to remind us of all the beautiful trans women and handsome trans men out there who have been cursed with the tragedy of being born into a body that doesn't belong.

Most people are happy to carry on life in a fitting body, with minimal problems such as "my waist isn't thin enough" or "my muscles need toning." But for some, it's much more difficult a situation.

"The fact that the gender isn't what you would think it is, at first, in the piece, mixed with the artist description makes it powerful and it opens ones eyes to societal hate of Transgenders."

May the day in which we truly see one another as an original/unique equal on this spinning ball of matter we call 'Earth' come swiftly.
